I am a qualified nurse, with 30 years experience in various health arenas. I have held management and advisory positions that have influenced public policy, right through to supporting communities taking action in reducing alcohol related harm.

I am most proud of pioneering the Auahi Kore (smokefree) Marae programme. This model has had influence beyond local communities with national and international interest.

I am passionate about interagency collaboration which draws on reality based solutions supporting community “champions of change”. I encourage innovative ideas that will lift our reputation as being cutting edge and world-wide leaders in health.

I have over 10 years of Governance in Government, NGOs and Hapu settings.  Chairing diverse group at all level of influence and interests.
